An aggressive cancer with a heartbreaking prognosisOsteosarcoma is the most common bone cancer in dogs, striking large and giant breeds hardest. Even with amputation, chemotherapy and radiation, outcomes remain poor. For many families, amputation is an agonizing choice — especially for big dogs — and metastases often follow regardless.
