Trump grounds Boeing 737 Max planes By Mr. Crowd 13 Mar 201919:43 | ||||||||||
President Donald Trump says his administration is grounding flights by Boeing Co.’s 737 Max aircraft following the model’s second fatal crash in five months.
Boeing stock continued to decline for a third consecutive day on Wednesday. President Donald Trump announced an FAA emergency order on Wednesday grounding all Boeing 737 Max 8 and Max 9 aircraft in the wake of two crashes which killed 346 people. "Any plane currently in the air will go to its destination and thereafter be grounded until further notice. So planes that are in the air will be grounded, if they’re the 737 MAX, will be grounded upon landing at the destination," Trump said in an announcement on Wednesday afternoon.
